Beautiful Thing ~ week # 4

For the past couple of years the company that holds a gas/oil lease contract with our farm treats us to dinner to update us and the other landowners of any new or upcoming developments.

Who doesn’t love going out to dinner? And it’s even more enjoyable when someone else picks up the tab!

That was going to be my beautiful thing this week.

UNTIL...

the flu hit our household.  Sunday afternoon found the hubs laying on the couch and by Tuesday, we were both down for the count.  We ended up taking turns laying on the couch, sipping soup, drinking in our Vitamin 'C', doing our darndest to get well, but ended up missing the all-expense paid dinner.....

By mid-week, I received this e-card

from our daughter, giving me just the boost I needed. 

I am thoroughly enjoying spending time each Saturday, perusing each day of the previous week and finding that one beautiful thing.
